Pollution prevention and response plans are required by both DEP and EPA for certain activities and for storage / handling of substances that have the potential to damage the environment. Storm water discharges, petroleum products, hazardous materials and hazardous wastes are examples of substances that may require pollution prevention plans, depending on your activity and the quantity of substances stored. We have been preparing pollution prevention and response plans for Maine municipalities, institutions, and industries for over 20 years.

Properly prepared and implemented, these plans will not only satisfy regulatory requirements, but will also provide clients with a useful tool to minimize both potential cleanup costs and future liabilities. Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans, Facility Response  Plans (FRPs), Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Hazardous Waste Contingency Plans, and Integrated Contingency Plans are typical pollution prevention plans.
