CES, Inc. Employee Updates
BREWER, MAINE – CES, Inc., a Maine-based firm of engineers, environmental scientists, and land surveyors, is pleased to announce additions to our engineering and environmental divisions.
Curt Bartram, PE has joined our team in our Brewer office as a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager. Bartram has a long-standing relationship with CES built over years of collaboration on various projects. He brings a wealth of expertise to our Team, including over 30 years of experience in building mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) design with a specialty in energy efficient systems design. In addition to owning his own firm, Bartram has worked as a facility engineer in the University of Maine System and was a State of Maine Energy Engineer. His experience with alternate energy systems including solar hot water, geothermal, and combined heat & power enhances CES’ ability to meet clients’ sustainability needs. Bartram is LEED certified and holds Professional Engineering licenses in Maine and New Hampshire.
Eric W. Thompson has joined our team in our Saco office as a Senior Project Professional in the Environmental Division. Thompson has over 32 years’ experience in industrial, environmental, and remedial process engineering, design construction and maintenance. He has performed process engineering from bench and pilot-scale testing to design, installation and start-up operations. His treatment process experience includes the application of ultraviolet oxidation ozonation, chemical precipitation, carbon absorption, air stripping, microfiltration, reverse osmosis, clarification, sand filtration and ion exchange technologies. In addition to the processes listed above, his operational and maintenance experience includes oil vapor extraction, dual phase extraction and pump and treat systems. Prior to joining CES, Thompson was a Senior Process Engineer in charge of design, construction and startup of industrial, municipal and remediation systems.
Nicole Ireland has joined our team in our Brewer office also as a full-time Natural Resources Scientist. Ireland joined CES in March 2017 as an intern in the Environmental Division while completing her senior year at the University of Maine in Ecology and Environmental Science. Following her graduation in May, Ireland has worked for CES on a full-time performing natural resources field work, environmental reporting and permitting, environmental assessments, environmental inspections and GIS work.
Jason Paterson has also moved to CES’ Natural Resources Unit as a Natural Resources Scientist in the Environmental Division. Patterson has been with CES since 2014 performing numerous duties to support both the Environmental and Engineering Divisions. He will continue to perform environmental compliance, sampling, monitoring, and construction oversight support for CES’ clients in addition to natural resources field work.
