Senior Administrative Assistant (Brewer office)
Full time position. Individual will be responsible for greeting clients, answering multiple telephone lines, word processing, photocopying, proofreading documents for quality assurance, filing, scanning, and running errands. Strong Microsoft Office skills including advanced functions of MS Word and Excel are required. A thorough knowledge is needed of business English, spelling and vocabulary, ensuring correct format, spelling and punctuation. Must be highly motivated, self-directed, and capable of handling multiple priorities and completing tasks in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. Excellent communication skills are required. Must have reliable transportation and be able to work some overtime when needed.
Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Work hours are typically 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday but may be subject to change based upon project schedules. Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
The successful candidate will have an Associates Degree in Administrative Science or specialized training beyond high school. A minimum of five years administrative experience in an office setting is preferred.
