 Between 1978 and
1989, CES, Inc. was housed in several different locations in the greater
Bangor area. In 1988 the Board of
Directors determined that a larger office space was necessary. The
former St. Teresa's Catholic School on South Main Street in Brewer was the
perfect opportunity for enterprising engineering professionals to
showcase their talent in renovating historic buildings.
Classrooms, an auditorium, locker rooms, a small indoor pool, and other
facilities became offices, conference rooms, a soils laboratory, a
darkroom, file storage rooms, and rental space. Many interior features
were successfully preserved, such as the auditorium and the classroom
chalkboards. The exterior of the building was not changed.
Renovation was completed in 1989.
