Toys, clothes and all kinds of fun stuff was donated by employees to local children during the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program held in Brewer, Maine.

1 Stuff the Bus 2015

CES’ Lewiston, Maine office collected toys and clothing to be donated to local children through the Androscoggin Valley Chamber of Commerce, in a program called Stuff the Bus!

Food Drive

CES received the Gold Award from United Way of Eastern Maine for the second year in a row. Recipients are acknowledged for meeting criteria such as campaign total greater than the year before, average gift greater than $260, employee participation greater than 40% and hosting special fundraising events.

Literacy CES Site 2

CES staff members donated new and used books for the Book Drive for Literacy, a drive sponsored by the Literacy Volunteers of Bangor to assist adults learn how to read in the Greater Bangor Area.

2015 Brewer Stream Cleanup_small

A CES team of volunteers join the Spring Clean Up in Brewer, Bangor and Orono each year to pick up trash along parks and streams to protect the quality of the local water resources.

MS Walk

A CES team of staff, family and friends join together annually for the MS Walk held in Brewer/Bangor to help raise funds for this important cause.

CES employees enjoy taking part in Pedal the Penobscot, an annual event that supports the Bangor Land Trust to preserve public access to Bangor’s wild back yard.

Future Promises

Future Promises Job Fair is held annually at the University of Maine – Machias. CES hosts an educational booth each year for school children in grades 3-6. The purpose of the fair is to provide are children the opportunity to meet people in various professional fields to help open their horizons of careers available in Maine.

Robotics Team

Brewer High School Robotics Team is supported by engineer mentors from CES who help students build a complex robot and compete against other teams. The First Program is a STEM program that provides students with the opportunity to work with adult engineers to help promote science and technology
