Clean groundwater and surface water is vital for the health and wellbeing of our communities. The majority of drinking water in the United States is withdrawn from groundwater sources, with surface water being another significant source. About half of irrigated cropland uses groundwater and approximately one-third of industrial water needs are fulfilled by using groundwater. Based on the number of clients and the number of projects completed by CES environmental monitoring staff, CES is one of the most experienced groundwater and surface water sampling consultants in the State. CES is able to prepare Environmental Monitoring Plans (EMPs) to insure representative monitoring results, which are required for a number of groundwater and surface water monitoring programs.
