CES was retained by Jasper Wyman & Son to prepare a Pollution Prevention (P2) Plan in accordance with Title 38, MRSA '2305: P2 Plans, and Maine Department of Environmental Protection, Toxics and Hazardous Waste Reduction Pollution Prevention Planning and Guidebook, January 2003. Work included addressing management policies, production unit analysis, facility goals, internal plan approval and employee involvement and awareness and training regarding toxics use, toxics release and hazardous waste reduction at the Jasper Wyman & Son, Cherryfield and Deblois facilities. CES also assists the facility in preparing biennial progress reports as required in the P2 Plan and by the Toxic Use Reduction Act (TURA), ' 2305-A. The P2 plan was complete during February 2005 and since that time, Jasper Wyman & Son has been operating in accordance with the Plan. CES has assisted other facilities modify their operations so that the applicable thresholds are not exceeded to avoid TURA requirements.
