Air emissions predictions, permitting, and reporting are critical aspects of any facility startup, modification, and everyday operations. CES provides the experience and knowledge base necessary to guide its client through the daunting task of achieving and maintaining compliance with all applicable State and Federal Regulations.
The Clean Air Act provides the Environmental Protection Agency the authority to implement and enforce rules related to air pollution, which has been delegated to the Department of Environmental Protection in the State of Maine. CES is proud of our working relationship with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection’s Air Bureau personnel and our clients’ track records for compliance.
CES has successfully prepared Potential to Emit calculations, performed Best Available Control Technology (BACT) analyses, and prepared permit applications for numerous clients in the State of Maine. Each permit application represents a unique set of circumstances which requires individual attention and often creative solutions. CES strives to obtain permits for our clients which allow them the operational flexibility to be both fiscally and environmentally successful.
The receipt of an Air Emissions License is the first milestone in Air Emissions compliance. CES assists our clients in their understanding and ongoing compliance with their license. Compliance with an air license can take the form of stacktesting at startup, periodic stacktesting, annual Emissions Statements, or other facility specific Special Conditions. CES maintains qualified professionals on staff and has strong relationships with point source air sampling professionals to ensure our clients our provided the best level of service possible.
