RECENT PROJECTS
IN THE NEWS
CES was recently selected to conduct engineering studies and surveys for the Town of Milo's Downtown Revitalization Planning Grant project. The area of the project extends from the Sebec River on the north side of Main Street, to the Milo Town Hall, focusing on the two-block downtown area from Water Street to the beginning of Park Street. CES will be responsible for completing proposed work in accordance with all local, State and Federal guidelines as well as in accordance with the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
Specifically, CES, along with Landscape Architect Regina Leonard, RLA, and Architect and Planner Alan Holt, AIA, will conduct a preliminary environmental review, conduct site and structural analysis, conduct architectural and engineering studies, prepare landscape design, building facades and streetscape designs, and prepare cost estimates.
CES has a significant amount of experience working on projects that have been funded through the Community Development Block Grant Program. Through this we have developed a good working relationship with the Office of Community Development. We have assisted communities and their partners with preliminary planning and grant writing, project design and engineering, bid document compilation, project management, and Federal labor standards compliance. Our Land Use Planner is a certified CDBG Program Administrator on staff.
